pricesmith.com is a software and consulting firm focused on delivering solutions in the B2B revenue management space, with an initial focus on distribution (high SKU count, high customer count). We have need to expand our data science capabilities with regard to pricing optimization, cross-sell/up-sell (marketbasket), recommendation engines, and churn prediction.

pricesmith.com is a startup company founded by a Ph.D. level researcher and pricing practitioner, a mechanical engineer turned data engineering and product management guru, a software engineer with an eye on improving analytical capabilities, and a pricing practitioner with experience across B2B and B2C spaces.

We have immediate needs to use live client data to help solve problems, and also help us build the algorithms that help drive the pricing and marketing solutions that will empower a currently underserved business segment.

We have some clear projects on our roadmap: the primary one is building a recommendation engine that classifies customers churn status based on available data. We also need a pair of hands to help model current problems: price optimization, market-basket style analysis, and other prediction models.

This position will work directly under the Ph.D. level founder and CEO, supporting the development of our core businesses. We work best in a collaborative environment with multiple touchpoints during the week. We are also very conservative with time, meaning we run and execute lean.

We also love independent thought. A perfect fit for someone who wants to build something world-class to disrupt a field full of incumbents with older, non-agile solutions focused on a different market segment.
