We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced data scientist to join our team and assist us in performing several key tasks. As our data scientist, you will be responsible for leveraging your expertise to unlock valuable insights and drive intelligent decision-making through OCR, Excel manipulation, and the development of advanced machine learning algorithms.
Responsibilities:
- Build OCR Capabilities for major banks in Singapore
- Utilize state-of-the-art OCR techniques to extract information from PDF bank statements, invoices, and other relevant documents.
- Employ Python to manipulate and analyze data in Excel sheets, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in data processing.
- Develop intelligent features and APIs based on the outputs of bank statements, providing intuitive and user-friendly functionalities.
- Design and implement cutting-edge machine learning algorithms to reconcile data across diverse categories, such as ecommerce, banking, accounting, identity, KYC, and more.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, understand business objectives, and deliver solutions that meet stakeholders' needs.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in OCR implementation, ideally working with bank statements, invoices, or similar financial documents.
- Proficiency in Python programming, specifically for data manipulation in Excel.
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and their practical applications in data reconciliation.
- Solid knowledge of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques.
- Familiarity with APIs development and integration, ensuring seamless user experiences.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
