If you’re ready to make a huge impact and drive the future of autonomy, Plus is looking for talented individuals to join its fast-growing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hardware and software support on PlusAI’s full-stack, self-driving technology for large-scale, autonomous commercial fleets.
  • Perform research and contribute to how the PlusAI autonomous system achieves higher levels of autonomy through machine learning engineering.
  • Responsible for supporting the company in designing and building end-to-end systems, algorithms, and software for constructing autonomous vehicles.
  • Research and construct machine learning or deep learning-based models for enabling self-driving vehicles to perceive and understand the surrounding environment.
  • Utilize knowledge of commonly used robotics, computer vision, machine learning, deep learning frameworks and libraries (robot operating system (ROS), Tensorflow, pyTorch) and software development tools to collaborate with teams of different functionalities and integrate various components (perception, planning, prediction, control, simulation, and data infrastructure) into a running system, using good oral and written communication skills.
  • Responsible for the calibration of all sensors used in autonomous vehicles, including cameras, radars, and LiDARs (light detection and ranging).
  • Design and develop software infrastructure to obtain all sensor calibrations during run-time.
  • Review and analyze complex system requirements, and translate detailed designs into various computer programming languages, such as C++ and Python.
  • Run continuous checks and tests offline to verify tracking algorithms are performing up to speed with the latest sensor calibrations.
  • Perform extensive road testing of the run-time calibration to ensure that all software components are running as expected.
  • Ensure sensors that are replaced and/or moved have adequate calibrations calculated, and verify the reliability and correctness of calibration algorithms on the truck.
  • Review and identify scenarios where the performance drops and false positives occur, and work on algorithms to eliminate them, using knowledge of deep reinforcement learning.
  • Maintain and improve existing code base, and review codes and algorithms periodically to enhance productivity.
Qualifications
