I have a python script which connects my airtable to open ai, then to midjourney, then to airtable again.

The concept is to take 3 text parameters, and ask open ai a series of questions to create a dynamic storyboard. It works by grabbing the 3 parameters from a record in airtable, then sending it to openai GPT4 to make descriptions of the storyboard images. The storyboard images are divided into scenes and shots within those scenes. Once we get the descriptions of all the shots (while knowing their scene, so there should be some array/data management) then we send it to midjourney, get the response, and send the image back to airtable with a patch request. Airtable has 12 storyboard picture fileds (for up to 12 scenes) and if a scene has more than 1 shot, they get placed in there as a secondary picture in the array. Each storyboard also has a description, so it should be a list of of the prompts which were sent to midjourney. Everything is built, but I just need someone to do quality checking, data management (to ensure it works for multiple situations) and some basic prompt engineering.

About the Role

Machine Learning Engineers on our modeling teams are responsible for advancing the state of the art in machine learning and applying those learnings to our products. We create digital twins of participants in clinical trials and strive to make these twins indistinguishable from real humans. In order to do this, we find that models from the literature are not enough and we need to continually invent new models for our applications. We then dive deep into our models in order to productionize them for clinical trials. You will be part of a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team that loves tackling tough problems.

Responsibilities

• Inventing new machine learning techniques that are applicable for clinical trials.
• Productionize our research and ensure we can predict disease progression that is as reliable as having a human participant in a trial.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and statisticians to ensure we are delivering the right product at the right time.

• Track record of using machine learning to solve challenging problems.
• 3+ years in a related role
• Fluency in Python and essential machine learning libraries (numpy, pandas, PyTorch, etc.) Demonstrated experience in collaborative software development.
• Experience or interest in solving machine learning problems for healthcare.
• Experience or interest in working with multidisciplinary teams that include scientists, engineers, and statisticians. B.S. (advanced preferred) or related degree in a quantitative discipline.
• Able to come into either our San Francisco or Boston office at least two days a week.

About the Role

Data Scientists working on our Clinical Data teams at Unlearn are responsible for building world class internal data products that enable fundamental advancements in machine learning.  Data Scientists collaborate as part of multi-disciplinary teams to leverage high-quality software to build datasets and tailor them for use in machine learning.  These teams work across disease areas, constantly learning and growing their capabilities to deliver innovative solutions around clinical data.

Responsibilities

• Using our powerful, proprietary software tools to transform clinical trial, observational study, and electronic health data into tidy datasets that empower the machine learning teams.
• Analyzing clinical datasets and understanding outcome measures, biomarkers, and other data measured in clinical trials.
• Collaborating with a team of multi-disciplinary scientists and engineers to build high-quality data products that leverage well-organized data, domain knowledge, and insightful data analysis and documentation.

• Advanced degree (doctorate or master's) in Neuroscience, Psychology, Public Health, or related discipline.
• Experience wrangling data from disparate sources, data cleaning, and harmonizing datasets for analysis.
• Experience working with complex or nuanced datasets.
• Experience or interest in clinical data and improving decision making in healthcare.
• Fluency in Python and its essential data science tools (numpy, pandas).
• Able to come into either our San Francisco or Boston office at least two days a week.
