A Sarangay is a monster from folklore in the Philippines (a country with a wide variety of folklore to make loras from, to be honest).

This creature is similar to a minotaur, mostly described as half man, half water buffalo. It has gemstones attached to it's ears, usually drawn as earrings, and protects a horde of treasure.
