Human/animal hybrid AU. Person B's taking a walk around town when they spot the cutest puppy/kitty/etc in the pet store window. Person B has to stop and look, gazing at the adorable creature through the glass. Person A gazes back dolefully, and Person B's heart melts. Seriously, how has no one adopted Person A yet?? Meanwhile, Person A doesn't dare hope that they just made eye contact with their new owner
