Amid the chaos in the ruined Chernobyl Nuclear Station, Hours after a mysterious second explosion in the core of the Chernobyl Ruins a scavenger team known as Unit Kappa-7 infiltrates the Black Zone to recover a strange power core emitting quantum pulses. As they descend into the sub-reactor chambers, an enormous explosion tears through the lower complex. They run through hellish wreckage as rogue security drones and unstable fission waves tear the area apart. Security guards mistake them for saboteurs..

In the ruined Chernobyl Nuclear Station, after an explosion in the core of the ruins, a scavenger guard team has penetrated to the Nuclear Core where they fight the final battle against creatures that have been mutated by radiation. The mutants' skin is charred black, peeling off, and glowing with internal heat. In a climactic battle, the guards use a pulse laser guns to overload the mutants internal systems. One soldier guard detonates the core manually. (The mutants shriek, disintegrating in a burst of anti-light:1.9). Only a few guards survive. The station is collapsing. Fire, electric flashes, and water fill the chamber.As the guards ascend the surface tunnels, they discover more mutated humans, but these seem dormant, almost peaceful. The surviving guards finally destroy the mutants forever. (The guards' leader sets off a small nuclear device, destroying the station in a massive explosion like a supernova:1.9). The survivors run out of the burning power station into a freezing cold icy, bleak, and desolate landscape.
