I saw an Ostrich saving its young with the blood of an Asp and the Giant Snails of Calonak, a dragon and a Kurnai, a Yenjin, the impression made by a body lifted from the sand, blinding a man by throwing the dried cones of casuarina quadrivalvis into his eyes just as black flowers grow in my eyes and the smoke of a dead man carries his being and I knew how the bukin of the Woiwurong secretly drew the fat from their dead to be eaten and to give them strength and the Wirajuri would twitch when a bukin was fat hunting.
