The shade from the palm tree felt perfect. The sand beneath me was still warm, and I had drifted off after a swim, my skin still glistening with salt and sun. For a while, I lost track of time, until I slowly opened one eye.

They were watching me.

A group of humans, standing a bit too still, pretending not to stare. But their body language gave them away. Some giggled. One was clearly red-faced. And a few… well, their gaze wasn’t exactly respectful, but it wasn’t malicious either. It was hunger mixed with awe.

I didn’t move. I let them look.

I’ve never really minded being admired. I know what I am, and I know the effect I have. There’s a certain sweetness in the way desire reveals the truth in others. You can see who’s shy, who’s bold, who dreams out loud… and who gets lost in silence.

A part of me wanted to tease them, say something, shift my hips just enough to make them squirm.
But instead… I smiled, eyes still half-closed, and went back to pretending I was asleep.

Let them dream a little longer.
