Upwork is hiring a Email Categorizer Microservice using OpenAI

Hi there,

We're looking for a developer to create and maintain a microservice for our main application. The service will require a good knowledge of LLM prompt engineering (probably starting with OpenAI GPT-4).

We will provide a JSON file with the body of an email. The email will be as a response to an outreach email.

The LLM system will need to read the email, categorise it into one of 6 categories and, if necessary, generate a response to that email. The result should be put into a JSON file for our platform to process.

The categories are:

1 - Contact Later (where the contact has expressed interest but wants to pick up the conversation at a later date)

2 - Unsubscribe (where the contact has asked not to be contacted again)

3 - Not Interested (where the contact has said that they are not interested)

4 - Not Relevant (where the contact has said that they are not the relevant person to be contacted)

5 - Flagged as Lead (where the contact has expressed an interest in what is being offered and wants further information now).

In addition to being one of these categories, provide a sentiment analysis (Positive, Neutral or Negative).

Some additional R&D will be needed to see if we can get the LLM to identify other bits of information (such as in case of 4, is the contact suggesting we contact someone else in the organisation and if so, is that contact information being provided).

You will also need to create a simple web page interface for R&D testing of the various inputs and outputs.

We have some suggestions for a prompt that will provide a start to getting these categories but will likely need further development to perfect (or not use at all if you have a better idea!).

Due consideration should be given to minimising cost of calling OpenAI. And also consideration that we may also want to test and move to an open source LLM as a further iteration of the mircoservice in the future.

In your proposal, please estimate the time you feel would be needed to create the mircoservice.

We have other services needed and so whilst this is quite a small project, success will likely lead to more of it's kind.
