We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Audio-Based Emotion and Behavior Annotation Specialist to join our team. This role involves using Labelstudio to annotate audio recordings, focusing specifically on the emotions and behaviors conveyed through speech, rather than the semantic content of the words spoken.
Responsibilities:
- Listen to a variety of audio recordings and annotate them in Labelstudio, an intuitive annotation tool
- Identify and label various emotions and behaviors based on the tone, rhythm, and delivery of speech, disregarding the semantic meaning of the words.
- Maintain high levels of accuracy and consistency in annotation.
- Work closely with the project team to understand annotation guidelines and ensure they are followed precisely.
- Provide feedback on the annotation process and participate in regular team meetings to discuss progress and challenges.
Requirements:
- Excellent listening skills and a keen ear for nuances in speech.
- Familiarity with different emotions and behaviors as they are expressed audibly.
- Experience with audio annotation tools, preferably Labelstudio (experience is a plus but not mandatory as training will be provided).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic technical skills to handle audio files and use annotation software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in linguistics, psychology, or a related field with an understanding of emotional and behavioral expressions in speech.
- Previous experience in audio annotation or related fields.
