Upwork is hiring a React Developer for AI-powered Web App - Contract to Hire

Overview:

We're looking for an experienced React Developer to design and implement more features within our web app (pickaxeproject.com). Currently we allow users to build their own AI-powered forms/chatbots and embed them onto their website. We've already done the work of integrating with OpenAI and building out the i-frame integration. Now we want to build out two more ways for an end-user to access these i-frames: A floating action button that opens into a pop-up chatbot and an in-line button that opens a pop-up chatbot.

This role involves not only developing the new component but also integrating it with our existing architecture. The successful candidate will have the opportunity for extended collaboration on a variety of projects in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

-Develop standalone React components that align with our web app’s existing design and functionality

-Work with our design team to implement user-friendly editing tools to refine the generated prompts

-Seamlessly integrate the new component with existing React components on our platform

-Sync with our backend team to ensure the component communicates efficiently with our Python/Flask backend

-Test the component for performance, usability, and compatibility

-Address feedback from our team and make necessary modifications

Qualifications:

-Proficiency in React and familiarity with Next.js.

-Ability to parse and integrate with pre-existing React components

-Familiarity with Python and Flask is a plus

-Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

-Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
