Hi,
I've 20 recordings or so ( iPhone Voice Memo) from 5 minutes -- 168 hours in length, of mostly silence but also of hundreds and hundreds of dog barks.
Sometimes an airplane can be heard or a door, but mostly the audio is silent.
I am looking for analyze how many times a dog ( there are a few dogs) barks per 15 minute time period.
I had a fine person work on it, and he built a file and used Audacity to count 425 barks from 30 minutes or a 160 hour audio, but he could not get it to work on other audio files.
The audio files are not loud. The barking is a few hundred feet away.
I wonder if I should have switched on 'enhanced audio' before I moved them off my iPhone?
I'll attach a few samples.
If interested and you're confident you could build something that could work, please contact me.
My thinking is the output would show:
1) time and date of the audio
2) length of audio
3) how many barks every 15 minutes - xl? graph?
4) and once it works, I could 'run' the program with the audios.
The other fellow used: https://www.audacityteam.org
Here is a link to his output file:
