Job Description:
We are a family (myself, my 9-year-old daughter, and my wife) embarking on an exciting journey to learn coding, full-stack web development, and AI. We are in search of an experienced mentor who can guide us through this learning process with patience, expertise, and a passion for teaching.
Responsibilities:
Conduct weekly online sessions (1-2 hours per week) for a year, tailored to our varying skill levels.
Develop a comprehensive curriculum covering the fundamentals of coding, full-stack web development, and an introduction to AI.
Provide practical exercises and projects to apply our learning.
Be available for questions and guidance outside of scheduled sessions, within reason.
Track and evaluate our progress, adjusting the curriculum as needed.
Requirements:
Profound knowledge in full-stack web development (Frontend and Backend technologies) and AI principles.
Prior experience in teaching or mentoring, with the ability to cater to different age groups and skill levels.
Excellent communication skills, patience, and a friendly demeanor.
Ability to provide a structured learning plan and resources.
Curriculum Overview:
Introduction to Coding: Basics of programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript. Understanding the coding environment.
Frontend Development: Deep dive into frontend technologies â HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Angular.
Backend Development: Introduction to backend languages such as Node.js, Python, databases, and server management.
Full Stack Integration: Combining frontend and backend knowledge to create complete web applications.
Introduction to AI: Basics of AI, understanding machine learning, and simple AI project implementation.
Project Work: Applying learned skills to real-world projects.
What We Need:
A detailed curriculum plan for the year.
List of required software or tools.
Any recommended learning materials (books, websites, etc.).
