Role Overview:
As a UI/UX Designer at our startup, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience of our AI-powered storytelling coach. Your creative vision, attention to detail, and understanding of user needs will be instrumental in designing an intuitive, engaging, and visually stunning platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and content experts, to transform complex AI capabilities into a seamless and user-friendly experience.
Key Responsibilities:
User-Centric Design: Advocate for the needs and preferences of our users, conducting user research, interviews, and usability testing to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement.
Interaction Design: Develop wireframes, prototypes, and user flows that illustrate the user journey, ensuring the product's interaction design aligns with user goals and best practices.
Visual Design: Create visually appealing and consistent designs, including layouts, icons, and graphical elements that enhance the storytelling experience and promote brand identity.
Mobile and Web Design: Design responsive interfaces for both mobile and web platforms, considering the unique challenges and opportunities each platform presents.
Collaborative Ideation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to brainstorm and contribute innovative ideas to continuously enhance the product's usability and features.
Design System Management: Establish and maintain a design system to streamline workflows, maintain consistency, and facilitate scalability as the product evolves.
Accessibility: Ensure that the product adheres to accessibility standards, making it inclusive and usable for a diverse range of users.
Iterative Improvement: Continuously gather feedback from users and team members, using data and insights to drive iterative design improvements and updates.
Market and Industry Research: Stay updated on UI/UX trends, emerging technologies, and best practices within the AI and storytelling domains, incorporating relevant findings into the product's design.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful design projects, preferably including AI-related or complex applications.
Proficiency in industry-standard design tools, such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar.
Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and interaction design.
Familiarity with AI and NLP technologies is a plus, but a strong desire to learn about AI applications in the context of storytelling is essential.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Up-to-date knowledge of design trends, accessibility standards, and emerging technologies.
