The underwriting technician works within the underwriting assistants and underwriting team participating in the submission and maintenance process, as needed transmission of contract elements to underwriting teams, tracking, and updating of electronic records.
Key Functions:
Support to underwriting assistants and underwriters for all submission activities
Creation of submission record
Communication with the broker to retrieve missing items
Exchanges with underwriting teams and support teams to fill complete records
Follow-up and updating of renewals
Follow-up of the collection of insurance premiums in liaison with the broker
Verifying system data and reporting tables.
Run reports for underwriting assistants to identify and analyze trends and increases in business volumes to optimize management times.
Active contribution to the standardization and continuous improvement of our management processes
Aptitudes and Experience:
Understanding insurance applications and policy; or willingness to take training within first 30 days
Proactivity and proposal strength to standardize and improve management processes
Autonomy and ability to work as a team
High analytical capacity and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication
Good knowledge of the MS Office
