Upwork is hiring a Full-Stack AI Developer for Cloud-Native AI Solutions on AWS/Azure/GCP

We are seeking an experienced full-stack AI developer on a contract basis to help expand our capabilities in building innovative, cloud-native AI solutions.


Responsibilities:

- Design and develop end-to-end AI applications using deep learning, NLP and computer vision techniques

- Implement scalable, reliable AI assistants with advanced techniques, such as Knowledge Graph-based QnN (KGQN) and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)

- Develop scalable microservices and serverless architectures for AI on AWS/GCP/Azure

- Setup CI/CD pipelines to streamline model deployment

- Optimize models for production efficiency, cost and latency

- Implement MLOps processes to ensure robust and reliable operations

- Collaborate with developer, solution architects, and product teams to conceptualize new AI features

- Implement models from research using frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow and Transformers


Main Requirements:

- Expertise in Python/JavaScript and relevant frameworks, and in data-related scripting languages (SQL, GQL)

- Strong background in AI algorithms, deep learning and NLP/CV models

- Proven experience with AI algorithms and frameworks (PyTorch, Tensorflow, Huggingface, scikitlearn)

- Proven experience with fine-tuning and integrating LLMs and Generative AI (open and closed sources) for building advanced AI solutions.

- Expertise with processing unstructured data and building knowledge graphs and features stores (Neo4j, NetworkX, Amazon Opensearch, Pincone, DynamoDB, Unstructured.IO, etc.)

- Proficiency with cloud platforms like AWS/Azure/GCP

- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, serverless and microservices

- Understanding of software best practices for testing, quality and deployment

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills

- Fluent level in English


Strong plus:

- Expertise in building and deploying efficient, high-fidelity prototypes using Streamlit (or similar frameworks)

- Expertise with Amazon Bedrock

- Expertise with Amazon Amplify

- Strong problem-solving ability combined with business acumen, or proven experience as project/product manager.

The position is for an independent contractor to be paid hourly or daily based on work completed. 


Strong communication skills, fluency in English, and ability to work independently are essential. 

The contract position can be full-time, part-time or project-based, with payment on an hourly or daily rate commensurate with experience.
