Our existing pet care app and website is being translated into several different languages. The first round of translation has been completed using Google Translate. Now, we need real native speakers to review and improve all the translations in the following languages:
Albanian - Shqip - sq
Arabic - العربية - ar
Chinese - 中国人-zh
Czech - Čeština - cs
German - Deutsch - de
Italian - Italiano - it
Russian - Русский - ru
Swedish - Svenska - sv
Translation files will be provided in Excel, along with some supporting resources to help provide context for the translations.
In terms of scope, the app needs to be translated for both the android and iphone apps, each of which is about 260 strings of text, and about 1400 words.
The website is much larger, and consists of about 900 strings of text, and about 9,800 words.
We estimate the translation verification to take about 10-14 hours of time per language.
We are open to working with one person who can verify the translations in multiple languages, or working with multiple people on individual languages.
Applicants must be fluent in English and in the language(s) they apply to translate to. You must also be willing to review work over Zoom video calls if needed.
