Boathouse is an independent, full-service integrated marketing and communications agency driven by data, guided by analysis and strengthened by artificial intelligence.

In the Business and Consumer Intelligence role, you will be focused on pairing best-in-class customer intelligence technology with human intelligence to derive strategies and actions that drive client performance.

Responsibilities include:

- Support client needs to understand stakeholder audiences, improve their marketing strategies, and drive business growth

- Utilize AI intelligence platforms to surface audience, category, market and competitive insights for existing and potential clients

- Build, collect, analyze, and interpret data across a number of use cases including Brand Positioning, Brand Health Tracking, Competitive Intelligence, Social / Content Strategy, PR/Communications, and Innovation

- Synthesize research into a strategic narrative that will guide our clients’ marketing and communications strategies

- Work with internal stakeholders across the agency (strategy, account, social, comms, analytics)

- Be responsible for using query writing, Boolean logic, and data analysis (e.g., Netbase Quid, Talkwalker, Signal AI, etc.)

- Help develop repeatable, scalable analytical frameworks and reports as a base for multiple clients with customization

- Contribute to uncovering new AI tools that could provide efficiencies and creative solutions across the agency

Qualifications:

- Have 4-6 years of full-time experience in a research, strategic consulting, B2B SaaS organization, or agency with a focus on social listening, marketing analytics, or digital analytics

- Expertise using customer intelligence/analytics platforms such as NetBase Quid, Talkwalker, Brandwatch, Sprinklr, Cision, or Meltwater)

Have strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret various data sources to synthesize and provide actionable insights

- Passionate about the intersections of consumer research and digital and social technologies, with consultative storytelling abilities with often disparate and unstructured data sources

- Desire to work across a diverse set of clients, industries, and business challenges - focus is on healthcare, education, transportation, energy (more complicated businesses!)

- You are:

Proactive, driven, and resourceful with strong prioritization skills and a desire to dive into the data

Highly organized self-starter, able to work independently and under tight deadlines

Curious with eager enthusiasm for open-ended problems

Have an in-depth, expert knowledge of NetBase Quid or similar customer intelligence/social listening products - how to use them to obtain game-changing insights that inform actionable business decisions

This position may start on a freelance basis but has the potential to become full-time.
