We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Operations Research Scientist to join our team. This role involves applying advanced analytical and mathematical techniques to solve complex business problems and optimize operational processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations research, data analysis, and modeling.
Responsibilities:
Problem Solving: Use mathematical models, statistical analysis, and optimization algorithms to address challenging operational problems and make data-driven decisions.
Data Analysis: Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to extract valuable insights and trends that can improve operational efficiency.
Model Development: Develop and maintain mathematical models, simulations, and forecasting tools to support decision-making processes.
Optimization: Apply optimization techniques to optimize resource allocation, supply chain logistics, and other operational processes.
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders, to implement research findings into practical solutions.
Research: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in operations research, machine learning, and data science to continuously improve methodologies and tools.
Documentation: Document research methodologies, findings, and recommendations for internal and external audiences.
Qualifications:
Ph.D. or Master's degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
Strong proficiency in mathematical modeling, statistics, and optimization algorithms.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB.
Experience with data manipulation and analysis using tools like SQL, Pandas, or NumPy.
Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Strong communication skills to convey complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Previous experience in operations research, supply chain optimization, or related fields is a plus.
