We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Computer Vision Engineer specializing in creating and optimizing models for biological and ecological applications. The successful candidate will develop, or possibly even leverage existing computer vision models, capable of classifying Northern Pike with high accuracy, aiding in the management of this invasive species. This role is critical to our environmental conservation efforts and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact.
Responsibilities:
Develop a new, or optimize an existing open source, computer vision model for identifying Northern Pike with high precision.
Collaborate with the team to define hardware requirements for the prototype, including camera selection and any other sensors.
Write and test the code required to integrate the computer vision model with the selected hardware components.
Help ensure the prototype operates effectively in real-world conditions, adjusting the model and hardware setup as needed based on test results.
Document the development process, including code to support the team in adjusting future iterations.
