We have very well-defined specifications for an online business that has elements of the Airbnb model. We contracted out the project to a firm who used a different platform but unfortunately they failed to deliver. However, we have solid specs based on that failure. Now that I'm involved to manage this project, it is clear that RoR is a much better platform. I am also experienced in RoR, so we will have a close-knit team and we should be able to fast-track our MVP. An in-depth Rails 7 proof-of-concept already exists. I am looking for two RoR contractors: one with full stack experience and another to focus on fine-tuning the Bootstrap/CSS. Tailwind might be attractive in the longer run. We will be using TurboStreams, TurboFrames, various Stimulus packages, Geocoder, and fairly complex Stripe processing.
