We are a burgeoning company in the education sector seeking an experienced Machine Learning Specialist. Our primary aim is to develop a Machine Learning model that accurately classifies educational content, specifically questions, based on their Grade and Subject information.
Our database comprises of 100K+ questions stored in HTML + MathML format. The task will be to train the model to effectively identify and categorize new questions or content. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong knowledge in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Text Classification techniques.
Furthermore, we are also interested in implementing a 'Near-Duplicate Detection' system. Ideally, the model should be capable of identifying the nearest similar content based on a given input. This is expected to aid us in maintaining the uniqueness and variety of our content.
In addition, we’d like to explore the possibility of image-based question classification. Any past experience or knowledge in this area will be highly valuable.
Successful completion of this initial project will potentially lead to more tasks, as we have numerous other areas we wish to explore and improve within our product.
We are looking for someone who:
Has proven experience in Machine Learning, specifically in Text Classification and Near-Duplicate Detection systems.
Has a strong understanding of NLP and its implementation.
Has experience with Image Classification tasks (desired, but not required).
Can communicate and report effectively.
Can meet deadlines and work efficiently.
