Upwork is hiring a Freelance Project-based Analytics & Data Engineer

The Data Driven Co is a network of data and analytics freelancers, that specialize in modern analytics in the cloud. We aim to set freelancers up for success by providing:

• New projects

• Collaborative teams

• Mentoring and training

• Billing and collections

Our freelance developers work in recurring 2 week sprints, with a set number of hours for each sprint, until a project is completed. A typical sprint is 30 hours of work over 2 weeks, with the option of working more than one sprint if you are looking for full time freelance work.

You will be supported by a technical product owner and project manager for each project. Projects range from a few sprints to several months.

We are currently looking for freelancers with bandwidth for new projects.

Here are the skills we are looking for:

Data & Analytics Engineering:

• Strong SQL experience with emphasis on analytics

• Dimensional data modeling for business intelligence

• Database design and architecture

• Tools: dbt, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift

Business Intelligence

• Data Visualization

• Data Analysis

• Report Building

• Tools: Tableau, Looker, Metabase, etc

We are looking for both full time freelancers and part time freelancers who are interested in expanding their skill set, a diverse range of projects and resources to help you succeed.

A little bit about our typical client. Our typical client ranges from funded startups to mid-market companies looking to increase their analytics capability and modernize their analytics environment. We haven't decided on targeting a particular industry, but our clients tend to be consumer facing, ecommerce, SaaS, blockchain and any company with large customer bases and/or large amounts of data. We have decided we are focusing on finance and operations departments.
