We are a small professional association that runs a biennial survey on "best practices" among our members. Our survey has collected lots of data from our practitioners over the years, and we'd like someone to dive into the data and see what stories can be teased out of it. Specifically, we are focused on two things:
1. What stories can be told from this year's data?
2. What stories can be told when looking at this year's data in the context of data from prior years?
The primary expected deliverable would be a set of 20-30 "findings" giving insight into what the data are telling us. To be clear, we're looking for findings that would require more analysis than just aggregating the results from a single question (which we already do). This job would require a focus on uncovering correlations across multiple variables.
Our secondary desired deliverable, if this were within the skill set of the contractor, is a 15-20 page whitepaper summarizing and explaining the findings.
If you are interested in this job, please indicate whether or not you feel comfortable with the writing portion. If not, it's not necessarily a disqualifier. Excellent analysis and creative findings are our priority.
To provide an idea of scope, our data set contains 169 responses to 50-60 questions. We have five years of data. The data are available in a tool called SogoSurvey.
The attached document shows the sort of data we collect.
This job is already closed and no longer accepting applicants, sorry.
