We are looking for a data scientist / data analyst who understands the social media and can help us evaluate the raw data to come up with various insights. We are an influencer marketing agency and we run large media campaigns where we run both organic campaigns as well as paid campaigns and there are multitude of parameters that impact the performance of campaigns. Our goal is to be able to use data insights (from our own campaigns as well as previous campaigns from other companies using publicly available data) to identify variety of things:
- what strategies worked?
- which platforms are working well? what type of post is doing well?
- who is getting the most engagement?
- sentiment analysis of the comments
- what type of content does well on both organic and paid?
- how many pieces of content do well-established brands use for effective marketing?
- and many others..
Many of these questions are standard but the answers to these questions will reveal further questions (think of this as an exploration that might go very deep) and we are looking for someone who thinks like an investigative journalist, who is looking for hidden clues to find the right answers. Or even better, you should be coming up with more and more questions that should reveal more and more of the depth of the strategies that work well and those that didn't work well.
So this is an amazing opportunity for someone who:
- is interested in doing large scale and extensive data explorations
- is very organized (it's easy to get lost in the data)
- statistically inclined (uses enough data to make conclusions)
- understands social media and influencers
- has experience working at a marketing agency in the past
- is a self-starter and is a curious personality in general
Would be great to get examples of insights that you have been able to find in your previous projects that others weren't able to. Only serious applicants with programming and coding backgrounds.
