We are seeking a Marketing Research Assistant to join our small but dynamic team. We're looking for a marketing research expert who is a self-starter and can complete deliverables with minimal direction. This individual will play a crucial role in shaping our marketing strategies and positioning us effectively in the freelance and software development space.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential clients in the freelance and software development industries.
- Analyze data and present insights to inform strategic decision-making.
- Create and optimize profiles on freelance platforms like Upwork to attract clients and freelancers.
- Manage social media platforms with large followings, engaging with our audience and growing our online presence.
- Take classes on specific topics related to marketing, freelancing, and software development, and present learnings to the team.
- Develop a strategy for the continued operation and growth of our freelance business.
- Serve as a liaison between the CEO and other team members, facilitating communication and ensuring alignment on projects and goals.
- Be a fast and efficient research guru, capable of finding information and reporting back in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to take vague direction and deliver high-quality results.
- Experience with Amazon FBA, and Craigslist ads a bonus
Requirements:
- Proven experience in marketing research, with a focus on freelance and software development industries preferred.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative to drive projects forward.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience managing social media platforms and understanding of social media marketing principles.
- Familiarity with Upwork and other freelance platforms is a plus.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to adapt to new tools and technologies quickly.
