We are seeking a talented data scientist to collaborate directly with our founder on developing an innovative anti-racism auditing tool. This project focuses on leveraging data scraping techniques and natural language processing to gather insights and recommendations for combating racism. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in data scraping, data flow architecture, and language model development.
We are currently applying for funding to deliver this project, so are looking for someone to help us scope and budget for this work at this stage. The successful candidate will then be hired to complete the work once we have funding.
We are looking for someone who can:
- Develop a sophisticated data scraping tool to extract pertinent data from various sources for anti-racism auditing purposes.
- Design and implement a robust data flow system to efficiently organize and process the scraped data.
- Build and train a powerful language model capable of generating actionable insights and recommendations for anti-racism efforts.
Ensure strict adherence to legal regulations and ethical guidelines regarding data collection and analysis.
- Collaborate closely with the founder to refine the tool's features and functionalities based on feedback and emerging needs.
You must have an understanding of and be passionate about anti-racism and have excellent communications skills as you will be working with a non-technical team (our experience is in anti-racism work, not tech!).
