I am evaluating opportunities in the U.S. residential real estate bridge loan market. Bridge loans are 12-month first lien mortgages, typically at conservative LTVs, secured by non-owner occupied single family homes.
I would like to understand:
--TAM, growth of the market
--major players, their size (if possible to estimate), and their typical product offerings and pricing
--understanding of the types of customers who need and take bridge loans, and the types of situations that lead to the need for a bridge loan
--underwriting/origination criteria of bridge lenders (if available)
