We (the US LHC Users Association) are a 501(c)(3) representing US scientists and engineers who carry out research and development using the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN (in Geneva, Switzerland).
One of our main activities is an annual trip to DC to meet with policymakers and advocate for robust funding for high-energy physics research at the DOE and NSF. We receive limited support from several US national labs for our activities, but these funds generally include restrictions and can't be used to finance this trip, so additional funds are needed.
We would like help to develop an overall fundraising strategy, as well as identifying and reaching out to potential donors, foundations, and corporations, with the hopes of sustainably raising at least $30k annually to fund travel for DC trip participants. Furthermore, we also welcome general advice on our website (https://www.uslua.org/) and existing fundraising efforts/materials.
