Upwork is hiring a E-commerce Data Analyst - Contract to Hire

Data Collection and Analysis:

Collect and consolidate data from Shopify, third-party apps, and other relevant sources.

Analyze customer behavior, purchase trends, and website traffic to identify opportunities for growth.

Reporting and Visualization:

Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as conversion rates, average order value, and customer retention.

Create visually appealing data visualizations and reports to convey insights to stakeholders.

A/B Testing and Optimization:

Plan, implement, and analyze A/B tests to improve website performance, user experience, and conversion rates.

Provide recommendations based on test results to enhance the shopping experience.

Product and Inventory Analysis:

Analyze product performance, including sales trends, margins, and inventory levels.

Suggest strategies for product selection, pricing, and inventory management.

Customer Segmentation:

Segment customers based on demographics, behavior, and purchasing history.

Develop customer personas to inform marketing and personalization efforts.

Competitor Analysis:

Monitor competitor strategies, pricing, and product offerings.

Identify opportunities to differentiate our store and offerings.

Forecasting and Demand Planning:

Utilize historical data to forecast future sales and demand.

Collaborate with the operations team for effective inventory management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Data Analyst in an e-commerce or dropshipping setting.

Proficiency in Shopify and e-commerce analytics tools.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

Experience with A/B testing and statistical analysis.

Strong communication skills to convey complex data findings.

Detail-oriented and able to work independently.
