Context:
We have restaurant websites built differently, almost all connected to Severooms booking tool.
The websites and Sevenrooms widgets are all tagged with a GTM code, connected to the new version of GA.
Problem:
At the moment, we can’t easily rely on the information we get from GA (reliability issue), we can’t easily track the performance of our campaigns (efficiency issue).
Brief:
The idea is to help us:
1/Make sure the websites and the booking tools are properly tagged, to get the right information:
o Traffic/pages view/events/…
o Campaign categorization
o Objective set up in GA
2/ Help us find the information from Sevenrooms: we have recently added our GTM codes to SevenRooms booking widgets and we are supposed to be collecting these events in GA4:
o selectDate (with date value)
o selectVenue (with venue name value)
o search (venue, date, time, partySize)
o login (loginType, i.e. facebook, google, linkedin, or guest)
o appliedPromoCode (promoCodeId)
o failedCheckout (checkoutStatus, errors)
o successfulCheckout (partySize, date, time, charge, marketingOptIn, dietaryRestrictions, specialOccasions, venueName)
o requestSubmitted (same as checkout)
3/ Find easily the information we need on GA making sure we can follow the performance of our campaigns
o Set up GA so it’s more user friendly for us
o Set up automatic reports that would save us time
4/ Make sure the conversions in Google Analytics are also reflecting on google ads
o Please help us define the conversions in GA
o Why are these not appearing in Google ads campaigns?
