We are looking for a leader for The Food Panel. You ideally have background in restaurant or foodservice.
Make restaurant and foodservice clients win by helping them understand their consumers better. You do this by owning Food Panel product sales, design and output – from beginning to end.
You will be responsible for making Food Panel an undisputed leader of the industry.
You will interact with clients on a regular basis, from understanding their needs to delivering and occasionally, presenting results.
You will have background in quantitative consumer research as well as data analysis. In addition, you are able to work with (not necessarily design) dashboards on platforms such as PowerBI and Tableau and are comfortable with extensive databases and query tools.
You will lead our external database teams on every dataset.
You will also own the voice of the product on digital media.
Responsibilities:
As a Food Panel Lead, your primary focus will be to elevate our restaurant and foodservice clients by enhancing their understanding of consumer behavior. Your ownership of the Food Panel product will span across sales, design, and output, ensuring a seamless process from inception to delivery.
Data Collection and Transformation:
Oversee the collection of 65,000+ rows of data each quarter from diverse markets through our consumer panels.
Transform raw data into insightful, actionable, and searchable insights, catering to the needs of our clients.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
5+ years overall experience, including 2+ years of demonstrable quantitative Consumer Research experience necessary.
Restaurants experience preferred.
Leadership of all insights of a product or category – including product development, client interface, leading teams, and presentations at a leadership level for your piece of that product.
Comfortable with tools such as SPSS (or equivalent)/Excel – data querying and visualization
Basic to mid-level understanding (1-2 years) of MySQL database, table structures, data management principles, and data model design. You may not be an expert, but you have exposure to this work and understand the Dos/Don’ts.
Self-starter with a high degree of initiative
Confidence and desire to lead cross-functional teams and effectively communicate recommendations to Line Manager
Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Proficiency in working with dashboard platforms like Power BI and Tableau.
Proven leadership in managing external database teams.
Strategic mindset to position the Food Panel as an industry leader
