We are looking for an outstanding Data Scientist to join our Business Intelligence team. This role will provide data analysis and reporting support to Spotify’s FP&A organization. This role will report into the Business Intelligence Lead within the Finance Data team, and provide broad exposure to Spotify wide opportunities, challenges and other key decision-making across multiple lines of business. The Business Intelligence function develops and maintains financial datasets and dashboards, while leveraging skills in working with data programmatically to improve efficiency and accuracy of FP&A outputs.
The ideal candidate should have experience working with big data and BI tools, excellent attention to detail, and be able to prioritize optimally in a fast-paced, high growth environment. There will be heavy emphasis on financial, user, and consumption metrics with automation of analysis and reporting. Accompanying this broad set of responsibilities is exposure to multiple areas of the business, as well as multiple tiers of senior management throughout the company.

What You'll Do:
- Serve as the first line of support for FP&A data needs
- Create and maintain tools for analysis and dashboarding
- Run data pipelines and consult on technical best practices
- Measure performance of business initiatives using programmatic data analysis
- Evaluate BI processes and propose methods for improvement
- You have a minimum of 3 years work experience with an emphasis on programmatic data analysis, and visualization/ dashboarding
- You have advanced level SQL skills, and exposure to functional programming
- You have experience using multiple visualization tools (Tableau/ Looker)
- Preferred, but not required, an understanding of financial data (GL, Income Statement)
- You are able to work in a fast paced, highly collaborative, and international environment
- You are a self-starter who is intellectually curious and seeks projects independently
- You are passionate about both technology and music
- This is a New York based role

The United States base range for this position is $86,691.00- 123,844.00, plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays, paid sick leave. These ranges may be modified in the future.
