About BlaBlaCar
BlaBlaCar is the world’s leading community-based travel network, connecting over 100 million members across 22 countries looking to carpool or travel by bus. By sharing rides and filling empty seats on the road, our community avoids 1.6 million tons of CO2 emissions every year (as if Paris was free of road traffic for a year!)
We are a global and diverse team of 700+ people with 45+ nationalities, and headquartered in Paris. We’re constantly looking for new ways to leverage technology to create a more affordable, convenient, flexible and sustainable way to travel. And we are always on the lookout for people who care about making a positive impact.
Your Mission
We are looking for a Junior Data Analyst to join our Data Marketing squad. Our Data Services department is organised in accordance with Data Mesh principles: each team owns a business domain (marketing, bus, carpool, demand…) and is composed of all the data specialities. The direct consequence of this organisation is that you will work hand in hand with Data Engineers and Data Scientists as they are part of the same team as you.
The mission of the Data Marketing team is to measure and optimise both our free and paid marketing activities through the use of data products. We are developing data products such as ETLs (Extract, Transform, Load processes) and dashboards to enable marketing stakeholders to enhance their marketing campaigns. We assess the effectiveness of their marketing initiatives retrospectively and convey data-driven insights to improve the media mix. To perform this, we operate a wide range of projects, from simple calculations to complex Machine learning algorithms and automations. For example, we operate an attribution model based on Markov-chains, and frequently run econometrics models (called Marketing Mix Modelling) and AB tests.
We wish to share our knowledge within BlaBlaCar (internal demos) and sometimes externally: for example Ken & Nico presented at AI in retail and Ad London our Markov chains-based Multi-touch attribution model; Hugo presented at The Product Crew webinar our marketing measurement strategy.
By joining our team at BlaBlaCar as a Data Analyst, you will have a significant impact on our acquisition and retention efforts, thereby influencing BlaBlaCar's impact on our society.
Alongside your team, you’ll join a well-rounded and experienced Data team working on a modern stack, and will belong to the Analytics Chapter, an internal community of 25+ analysts who meet regularly to share, learn and innovate on data analytics.
Your Responsibilities
Within the Data Marketing squad, you'd join a team of 6 people: your Engineering Manager (Hugo Palmer), 2 Data Engineers, 1 Data Scientist and 2 other Data Analysts.

• Developing a comprehensive understanding of the data flows within the marketing analytics universe, including tracking tools, the data warehouse (Airflow/Python/BigQuery) and our dashboarding tool (Tableau)
• Investigating and address issues and inconsistencies within the marketing data stack; identify their root causes, resolve them, and gain a comprehensive understanding of the data stack. Then, propose enhancements to the stack to continually improve its resilience and overall performance
• Project management: be accountable for a project, from its business specification to its technical delivery: planning, communication with stakeholders, coordination with other engineering teams, quality.
Your Qualifications
• A degree in Engineering, Business school, Econometrics, Data or Business analytics or Computer Science
• At least one internship of professional experience working as a Data Analyst
• Proficiency in one data visualisation tool (for exemple Tableau, Excel, Looker, or Power BI)

• You are organised, results-driven, and are able to prioritise in a changing environment
