The Data Scientist Advocate Intern will be responsible for helping TruEra to educate and engage the data science community across multiple channels. In this role, you’ll be responsible for creating high-value content, such as blogs, articles, and social media posts. You will also participate in data science communities and help to grow the TruEra data scientist community.
This role reports to the Director of Strategy and can work closely with Research and Engineering team members.

What You Will Be Doing
- Research and create content about machine learning topics (such as core ML concepts, LLMs, ML Monitoring, and ML Testing) and ML use cases. Content creation involves writing compelling blogs and social media posts.
- Help interact and engage with data science communities, including TruEra’s own community.
- Assist with data science outreach through online and virtual events.
- Identify, articulate, and promote compelling ML use cases through various channels
- If there is interest, the role can also involve video production or the creation of presentations for data science education.
- Pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree in a broadly relevant field, such as data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics, applied mathematics, or depth of coursework in these areas.
- Technical skills that demonstrate a grasp of data science and engineering fundamentals - you can source and prep data, have used statistical computer languages (R, Python, etc.), can create or adapt ML models, and visualize data.
- Strong writing skills and comfortable with illuminating technical topics at varying levels of detail.
- Curious about or experienced with working across multiple forms of media (blogs, videos, photos, graphic design), communication channels (Twitter, LinkedIn, Slack, etc.), and communities (Reddit, Discord, Stack Overflow, etc.)
- Enjoy interacting with people and are excited about helping others to be successful in data science and machine learning
Work Environment
TruEra is a diverse, global company that is headquartered in Redwood City, CA. There are additional offices in Bellevue, WA, and the United Kingdom. To maximize interaction with the team, we prefer intern candidates in the SF Bay Area (hybrid), the US West Coast (remote), or in Europe (remote).
