Our team is seeking a multitalented Genomics Scientist to support high throughput commercial and R&D sequencing activities. This position is in a fast-paced biotechnology startup with many competing technical challenges and opportunities for growth and advancement. You will have an opportunity to gain experience with state-of-the-art technologies in an interdisciplinary environment.
This is a full-time position of 40 hours a week.
Start Date: Immediately upon completion of pre-hire requirements.
How You’ll Contribute to This Amazing Team
- Design, build, and deploy new sequencing assays at scale
- Develop efficient operations and processes with lab and industrial automation - High throughput liquid handlers, Industrial robots, scheduling systems
- Communicate product development activities across a high diverse and interdisciplinary team
- Develop deep expertise of our customers’ needs and challenges
- Effectively manage multiple stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle
- Improve the quality, reliability, and speed of our core products and services
- Partner with leadership team to brainstorm and execute on new opportunities (ie new products, markets, implementations, use cases)
- Demonstrated successes designing, validating, and deploying high throughput NGS assays - Hands on experience with Oxford Nanopore and Pacbio Sequencing preferred
- Deep technical knowledge of molecular biology

- 3+ years of industry experience
- Communicate effectively to a diverse audience of technical and non-technical backgrounds: you identify core challenges in complex situations, articulate trade offs, and incorporate feedback to drive decisions
- Bioinformatics scripting skills: Python (Numpy, Pandas), C++, Unix, Command line
- Automation, Embedded Systems or Machining Experience: Lab Automation Programming; Industrial Automation: PLC Programming, CAD/CAM, EtherCAT
- $100,000/yr - $145,000/yr
