This role is open to Chicago-hybrid candidates. This position will report to the VP, Marketing also based in Chicago.
You will develop our content strategy and lead our storytelling efforts that drive increased brand awareness and demand for our products. This means having the ability to define a clear, unique POV that attracts target audiences while helping us to dominate the market and box out competitors.
You’ll develop a data-driven, full-funnel content strategy while also explaining the value of our products in a simple, compelling, jargon-free way. You are excited by context switching – from brainstorming the week’s social editorial calendar to optimizing landing page content to working on waterfall content plans, all in the same day.
This position calls for a blend of creativity and data-driven decision-making. Strong writing, editing, and brainstorming skills will serve as the foundation for all the activities you will own. You’ll ensure that our helpful content brings in qualified leads, educates customers to boost retention, and continues to establish Phrasee as the most engaging, fun, and delightful voice in generative AI.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute ona content strategy that increases demand and awareness.
- Lead production and management for demand-generating content including blogs, playbooks, webinars, videos, etc.
- Ensure keyword ranking and overall SEO are key factors in developing content plans.
- Help operationalize how we share company updates internally and develop a social ambassador program to help amplify our brand with external networks.
- Manage cross-functional teams, external resources/agencies (eg, PR agency), and a high-performing global brand and content team.
- +6 years of experience in B2B tech content marketing roles with editorial and copywriting experience. Experience in marketing to enterprise martech is preferred.
- +3 years of progressive experience developing and leading global content marketing strategies in high-growth, SaaS/tech environments.
- Strong curiosity for using generative AI tools – specifically, LLMs – to create content that meets your need for quantity and quality.
- Creative and detail-oriented – where others see complex spreadsheets and briefs, you see storytelling opportunities, campaigns, and content concepts.
- You hate business jargon just as much as we do; you write like you talk.
- Desire to be a player-coach and get in the weeds of ideation and content creation to scale a high-performing content marketing engine.
- Data-driven, results-oriented team player who demonstrates a hunger to meet clearly defined content goals.

- A great communicator with strong writing and presentation skills; you’re a data storyteller at heart!
- Great at bringing internal and external teams together to ship projects, and using data to optimize decision-making.
- Buyer-centric with experience in generating qualitative and quantitative insights and using those insights to inform your content strategies and the content repurposing roadmap.
- Able to distill complex information into understandable, actionable, persuasive content and copy across various assets/formats/channels that helps users grasp the value of Phrasee for their needs.
