The Association of Medical Device Reprocessors advocates for the regulated, commercial “single-use” medical device reprocessing industry. When hospitals use more reprocessed devices, they reduce cost, waste, greenhouse gas emissions and strengthens the supply chain. Reprocessed single-use medical devices are as safe and effective as virgin devices when remanufactured by regulated AMDR members based on an FDA clearance.
