WHAT’S ON OFFER
This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly growing team in a technically challenging and rewarding role! Reporting to the Machine Learning Data Scientist Development Manager, the Machine Learning Engineer - LLM is experienced and passionate about building creative and novel AI solutions. Working collaboratively with other feature teams and cross-functionally throughout the development process, the Machine Learning Engineer - LLM ensures the product is functionally complete and technically solid.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Drive the development and integration of Large Language Models (LLM) into our major products, Maptual Field & Maptual Sphere, to supercharge the company's engineering team
- Collaborate with the cross-functional team to identify and implement Natural Language
- Processing (NLP) and LLM solutions that can solve complex problems and deliver innovative outcomes
- Translate complex LLM and NLP concepts into easy-to-understand language for nontechnical stakeholders, ensuring the broad understanding and adoption of our AI solutions
- Display creativity and self-startership to navigate new frontiers in the pharma space, driving innovation with Large Language Models and Transformer architectures
- Use your Python wizardry to build robust, efficient, and maintainable LLM-powered applications, taking projects from inception to completion
- Balance your technical expertise with exceptional communication skills to ensure all stakeholders understand and appreciate the value and impact of LLM solutions.
- 3+ years of experience working in a role related to Natural Language Processing, with a focus on the development and implementation of Large Language Models.
- Expertise in Python, with an ability to write efficient, clean, and maintainable code for large-scale applications.
- Deep understanding of the latest research and technologies in Natural Language Processing and Transformer models, and how to apply these in a practical, businessoriented manner.
- Full-stack development ability, with experience in building and deploying LLM-powered applications
- Exceptional communication skills with an ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a less technically inclined audience, with a focus on demonstrating the business value and impact of AI solutions
- Creativity and a self-starting attitude, with a desire to drive innovation in the pharma space using AI and LLM solutions

LOCATION
We are a remote-first company based in Toronto with frequent in-person collaborative work sessions and social gatherings at a work-share office in downtown Toronto. We leverage many synchronous and asynchronous communication tools as well as virtual social events, and provide an allowance for your ideal WFH setup.
